How to verify a bank card discount before you pay (Pakistan)

A step-by-step checklist: official portals, merchant confirmation, card tiers, and what to do when staff say no.

Start with the bank's official source

Pak Bank Hub aggregates public bank discount pages — we are a directory, not the bank. Before a large purchase, open the offer on your bank's website or app and screenshot the merchant name, validity dates, and card tier.

Banks update portals without announcing every change. If our site and the bank disagree, trust the bank.

At the merchant

Politely ask whether the outlet still honours the bank promotion. Franchise staff may not know headquarters ended a campaign yesterday. Provide the bank's merchant code if listed.

Pay with the physical card that matches the tier. Digital wallets linked to the same account sometimes qualify — sometimes not.

When the discount is refused

Do not argue at the counter for long — note the date, branch, and manager name if possible. Use our contact form so we can flag stale listings during the next scrape. You can also escalate with your bank's card services helpline.

Quick tips

  • Check validity dates and weekday restrictions every time — not just the percentage.
  • Friday brunch and public holidays often have separate rules.
  • Keep one bank's discount portal bookmarked on your phone.
